Strategic Relationship Manager (Construction & Government) Senior Commercial Manager
Essential experience and knowledge
• Proven experience in strategic relationship management, partnership management or senior stakeholder engagement roles.
• Construction sector experience or strong working knowledge, including supply chains, delivery environments and commercial drivers.
• Experience of working within, or closely with, the public sector / government environment, with an understanding of governance, assurance and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, multi stakeholder settings, balancing competing priorities and interests.
Skills and capabilities
• Strong strategic thinking, able to set direction, identify opportunities and manage issues proactively rather than reactively.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills, with credibility at senior and executive levels.
• Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple workstreams and long term objectives effectively.
• Confident in working autonomously, exercising sound judgement and owning outcomes without reliance on task by task direction.
• Able to analyse complex or ambiguous information and translate it into clear, actionable insight for decision makers.

Minimum Requirement: Strategic Relationship Manager/ Strong SRM experience/ NEC / construction commercial experience – Please read job spec – and ensure candidates and cv highlight the above experience this is a G7 role so very much a senior role.
Manage Commercials from inception, strategy stage through to contract award. Establish open and competitive procedures. Ensure consistency of scope documentation and alignment of Client needs and requirements within the entire contract suite and negotiation. Liaise with Legal teams to draft and contract terms and conditions. Ensure agreed targets are met. Deliver strategic, high risk, high value, contracts and frameworks. Manage key Commercial risks developing appropriate strategies and undertaking pre and post contract award negotiations, in order to achieve value for money. Influencing senior stakeholders and Suppliers towards Commercial solutions with the ability to resolve disputes.
