The Client:
Our globally renowned aerospace client is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative / Supply Chain Coordinator to support their team, supporting their Supply Chain Management to ensure effective delivery of goods and services to support the success of BDUK programmes as defined through the client’s strategy. The Supply Chain Team (SCT) has responsibility for forecasting, proposal management and contract change; component maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO); inventory maintenance; procurement and supplier management; and warehouse storage and parts distribution.
Role Overview:
This position supports Fixed Wing operational programmes by delivering day-to-day Supply Chain and warehouse support activities in line with Boeing processes, safety standards, and operational priorities. Reporting to the Fixed Wing Execution Manager, the role focuses on inventory accuracy, materials handling, warehouse operations, parts distribution, supplier coordination, and operational support to ensure efficient programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy and reporting any discrepancies or non-conformances.
- Store, manage, pick, pack, and distribute materials and aircraft parts in line with operational and aircraft priority requirements.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and audits to maintain stock accuracy and compliance.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards in accordance with Boeing 6S and health & safety policies.
- Support distribution and logistics activities across Fixed Wing programmes while adhering to Supply Chain procedures and security requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational and audit documentation relating to stock movements and warehouse activities.
- Assist with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations relating to delayed or failed deliveries.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal teams and support organisations to ensure seamless operational support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities by identifying process gaps and supporting updates to Supply Chain procedures.
- Support KPI reporting, operational performance monitoring, and long-range programme planning activities.
- Mentor junior team members in warehouse and Supply Chain best practice where required.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours operational support in line with business needs.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience within warehouse, logistics, Supply Chain, or distribution environments.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, and warehouse operations.
- Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively within fast-paced operational environments.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and supporting audit compliance activities.
- Understanding of health & safety, security, and procedural compliance within regulated environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within operational teams.
