Job Description

Support production configuration management activities by analyzing engineering changes, maintaining manufacturing configuration data, and coordinating implementation plans across manufacturing functions. Review technical drawing packages, assess impacts to manufacturing processes and bills of materials, and ensure accurate execution of configuration changes throughout the production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage Manufacturing Change Notices (MCNs).

  • Review Technical Drawing Packages (TDPs) and engineering change documentation.

  • Analyze impacts to Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM), routings, work instructions, and production processes.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather configuration and manufacturing data.

  • Lead meetings to develop and execute implementation plans for engineering changes.

  • Provide technical guidance and support problem-solving activities.

  • Support material control, configuration management, and production change implementation.

  • Ensure manufacturing documentation and system data remain accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and TDPs.

  • Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM/MBOM) and manufacturing configuration management.

  • Experience with Windchill or Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems.

  • Experience with Oracle including Item Master, Drawing Files, BOMs, and Routings.

  • Strong Excel skills and data analysis experience.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly, machining, welding, paint, and installation.

  • Knowledge of non-conforming material processing and outside service provider (OSP) workflows.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with manufacturing change management and material control processes.

  • Knowledge of Excel macros and advanced spreadsheet functionality.

  • Experience supporting weld, assembly, and production operations.

  • Experience with job releases, modifications, floor stock, and inventory control activities.

Education

  • 4-year Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
